My Bittersweet Mother's Day
May 14, 2023
(1 min read) If you're following me on Instagram you may have seen my post today about why mother's day is bittersweet for me. Below is the post in case you missed it- be sure to pay attention to the end!
My mom used to love throwing parties/events, was super organized, and everyone always told me she radiated positivity. With each year that passes I see more of her influence in my life. It has given me a profound appreciation for the influence we have as moms on our young children.
I want you to know that among my thoughts today I celebrated YOU as a high achieving mom. Your existence gives me hope for our world. Thank you for all the unseen sacrifices you make to give your kids and mine a better future.
Honor your importance and safeguard your mind. All our kids depend on it. See you in next week's e-newsletter.

My mom died in a car accident when I was 12. I didn't have someone to talk to about my period, mother's day was awkward every year, and I spent birthdays, graduations, and even my wedding day wondering why I had to go through life without a mom.
🌿The most challenging part of life without a mother has been being a mother myself. The constant desire to have someone guide me, answer my questions and support me unconditionally has been challenging to say the least.
💔Mother's day is always bittersweet because I love being celebrated by my kids but mourn not being able to celebrate my own mom.
➡️I share this with you because I believe that even in the darkest of situations, we can come out stronger and smarter! Not having my mother allowed me to become who I am today, someone I know she'd be proud of. We are in an impossible motherhood culture filled with unrealistic expectations and unfiltered information but WE as high achieving moms are the hope! WE are shaping the future by raising leaders who are kind, logical and emotionally healthy. WE are able to change the narrative on realistic boundaries for all moms. WE can change the future from within our homes!
✨ Whether you're a new mom, a seasoned mom, a grandma, a mama waiting for her babies to come Earth side, or any other woman on the planet right now, remember HOPE. Remember that after every storm the sun eventually comes out again and even in it's shadows, things can thrive.
