Do you respect yourself?
Mar 12, 2023
(1 min read) Do you value your achievements both as a conscious mom and as a highly capable individual? It is not an easy identity to have! We are capable of accomplishing so much but there is a finite amount of time and energy to do it all. Anxiety creeps in when we can't accomplish it all the way we pictured it in our heads and then we beat ourselves up. We are so unfair to ourselves! This week's email is to remind you to respect yourself and be realistic with what is within your abilities- sometimes that's as basic as not being able to start the dishwasher at night. There are just so many things to do and so little time and energy, it's not about your abilities or your value. It's simply a resource issue.
If you find yourself in this state of mind constantly, it could be wise to take a look at things that are no longer serving you or wasting your time. Prioritize based on your life season and surround yourself with people who honor your choices. Here are some of my favorite high achieving mom life hacks that keep me in line with what is realistic for me:
Have realistic expectations for yourself and your family
Say no to things that yield overstimulation, overeating, or overanalyzing for you and for your kids
Use your kids behavior/health as a gauge for when you're doing too much
Focus less on what it looks like and focusing more on what it feels like
Remember, your efforts and your potential is long lasting through the generations to come as you raise your children with the right values, work ethic and life discipline.
Honor your importance and safeguard your mind. All our kids depend on it. See you in next Sunday's e-newsletter.
